WHAT

Pondok means shelter. Pitaya is latin for Dragon Fruit. And since we grow dragonfruit on our farm we named our hotel Pitaya. The restaurant is called Toki’s place named after the guy we bought it from.

Featuring all original wood structures from Java and Bali the hotel offers unique accomodation in a lush beachside setting. Literally steps from the beach Toki’s restaurant features fresh food and drinks in a comfortable all wood setting. Bean Burrritos, thin crust pizza, baked penne and BBQ everything are a few of the featured items being served in our seaside cafe from morning til night. Wax, leashes and board rentals are also available as well as pitchers of Sangria and bowls of Guacamole.

A total of four rooms and one very large riverside villa rental are available. Rooms 1 and 2 are situated beside the restaurant directly on the beach. Rooms 3 and 4 are set back a hundred meters from the water offering a little more privacy and quietude. All rooms are traditional wooden structures featuring classical Indonesian architecture and woody interiors. Each room sleeps two people and extra beds can be arranged at an extra charge. The bathrooms are large and clean. The rooms rates are rp. 200 000 a night or $20 USD. The food fare is fair. Airport pick up and delivery is normally priced and 24 hour security is standard.

We accept reservations with no deposit but if you don’t notify us of your non arrival or cancellation you will not be afforded one of our funky rooms in the future. Communication is the key. SMS or text messaging is preferred especially if you are on Bali or Lombok. Handphone booking is the future.

With an awesome view of the main peak, the villa rental is a traditional teak house from Java situated on the western banks of the Balian River. The house comfortable sleeps fours and features an outdoor living room beside a fifteen meter lap pool for suntanning afternoons or moonlight swims. The horse corral outside the front door is also a nice touch. There are two horses and plans for more.
